History
A memory for your card. Take a save point, then see exactly what changed between two of them — in words, not hex — and put an old version back.
What a save point holds
Every song, kit and synth patch on the card — the .XML files in SONGS, KITS and SYNTHS. Samples are never included: they are large, and they rarely change. A save point of a card you have barely touched costs almost nothing, because files that did not change are stored once and shared.
What a diff shows
Tempo, key, swing, synth settings, and how many notes each clip gained or lost. Fields the Deluge rewrites whenever you save — scroll position, zoom, the pad preview — are still reported, but kept out of the way behind a count, so a save that only moved the view never looks like nothing happened.
This is not a backup
Save points live in this browser, on this machine. Clear your site data and they are gone. Use Manage to copy real files off the card, and export a save point to JSON if you want it somewhere safe. Restoring a file copies whatever is on the card into HISTORY_BACKUP first — nothing is destroyed.
